How To

Provide services: Infrastructure & Facilities

The real estate prices and rents are cost-prohibitive for small entrepreneurs in many developing countries. A key value that can be provided by an incubator is thus subsidized office space.  Acquiring phone systems, internet service, fax and copy machines can also be costly, and in many instance unreliable, if an entrepreneur attempts to acquire them on his/her own. In other instances, electricity is unreliable and can disrupt the flow of the business.  Having a space to go to where electricity is guaranteed, can thus be extremely valuable to an entrepreneur who cannot afford to buy a separate generator.

This collection of articles seek to provide an overview of some of the physical infrastructure services that can be provided to entrepreneurs and some of the lessons in how they can be effectively provided.
