Description	Octantis is a business accelerator founded in 2003 by three partners: Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez, a prestigious business school in Chile, Invertec IGT, a firm specialized in innovation consulting and Clima de Emprendimiento Organizado (Organized Entrepreneurial Climate) an entrepreneurial network of ICT and biotechnology entrepreneurs. Octantis applies a networking approach for supporting high growth potential innovatives companies. Concentrated on adding value for the creation of dynamic companies; facilitating contacts, along with business formation and coaching in each phase of the generation of new companies and start-ups. Since 2003, Octantis has generated deal flow of over 4000 business ideas, and supported close to 300 new initiatives from different industries. The aggregate sales of the companies supported by Octantis summed US$ 10 million in revenues for 2006. Currently we are supporting 60 start-ups/companies in our portfolio and 12 international patents in process. With infoDev support, Octantis created the first angel investor network in Chile (currently Southern Angels http://www.southernangels.cl/ an autonomous operation) which has raised over US$ 2 million for innovative companies.
Interests	Octantis focuses on High Growth Potential Entrepreneurship. Although these initiatives may begin small, they have the capacity of reaching revenues of US$ 100,000 during the first year of operation with sustainable growth of at least 35% yearly. They are companies that have the potential of reaching a big size and have entrepreneurial teams that have the passion and capacity of putting in motion their ideas and making them grow. Octantis is in constant pursuit of international networking opportunities which may lead to partnerships that benefit our clients.
